People with Reduced Mobility

One of our main goals is to provide inclusive and accessible public transport for everyone. We are committed to ensuring that our services are fully accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM).

To provide our passengers with a seamless and efficient service, we recommend using our booking or stop notification service.

For wheelchair users, our buses are equipped with electric or manual retractable ramps. To ensure the availability of accessible buses (excluding the metropolitan area of Florence), we require a reservation. This ensures that a bus with a ramp is available and that the stop is equipped for boarding and alighting (please note that the structural aspects of bus stops are managed by local authorities).

For PRM passengers who do NOT need a ramp to board, you can still notify us of your presence at the stop through our dedicated channels, if desired.

Booking a Bus with a Ramp or Notifying Us of Your Presence at the Stop

For safety reasons (EU Regulation 181/2011 art. 10), booking a bus with a ramp or notifying your presence at the stop does not include driver assistance for boarding or alighting the bus. For wheelchair users, only the deployment of the ramp is provided.

Booking Times for Buses with Ramps

You must request this service 48 hours in advance of your travel date. We will confirm your booking within 24 hours.

If a ramp is needed, the service will be guaranteed within 48 hours, subject to vehicle availability and the accessibility of the boarding and alighting stops.

If the booking request is not made within the specified time frame and manner, the service cannot be guaranteed.

NB: our ramps are designed for wheelchairs and electric scooters that fit within the standard dimensions (112x70x109 cm) and have a maximum weight limit of 300kg, including the weight of the person.

  • If you need a bus with a ramp, please make sure you have received confirmation of your booking before going to the stop.
  • If you are unable to use the booked service for any reason, please call our toll-free number to cancel your reservation.
